All prices are shown in NZ dollars and include GST.
All orders are shipped from New Zealand.
International orders may be subject to local taxes or duties, Modscene is not responsible for and has no control over these charges.
We accept Visa and Mastercard credit card payments via our online stores payment portal.
We also accept direct credit to our bank account in New Zealand only. If your payment is not received within 14 days of your order date, your order will be cancelled. Goods will only be shipped once payment has been received in full.
Modscene will deliver your order via courier or freight company to your specified address entered at checkout.
Deliveries are normally between the hours of 8.00am – 5.00pm during weekdays.
Urgent freight requests, private deliveries, deliveries to rural and remote areas may incur an additional delivery charge. Please enquire prior to placing an order.
Once your order is placed and full payment has been made, the Company aims to dispatch the goods to you within 7 days.
If your order is via track and trace courier it will need to be signed for. Please make sure there is someone at the specified address to sign for the package. A card to call will be left if there is no one to sign for the delivery.
If the order does not arrive, or it arrives damaged, please contact us within 7 days from confirmation of dispatch.
Freight acceptance Policy
Carefully check the goods for any visible damage before signing for them.
Do not sign for the goods as in good order unless you are satisfied there is no damage.
If you are not satisfied with the condition of your product, please sign the consignment note with “Damaged” clearly marked.
Please be clear that once you sign to accept delivery of the product, you are accepting full ownership for that product in its current condition.
Any items with a manufacturing defect can be returned and must be shipped within 7 days of delivery date, in original/unused condition, and in the original packaging.
Please follow our instructions below if you wish to make a return.
- Inform us of your intent to return by emailing email@example.com
- Place the items in the original box / packaging.
- Ship your goods back to Modscene with your chosen courier or postal company at your expense. We recommend using a trackable and insured method so that your carrier will refund you in the event of theft or loss during delivery. Please keep a record of your tracking number.
Once these items have been received by Modscene in it’s original/unused condition, and in the original packaging, we will refund you the purchase price within 7 days.
Modscene will not accept returns that are based on a change of heart/change of mind so please ensure you are happy with the products prior to ordering.
Our Lifetime warranty is subject to the following conditions:
Our warranty covers rotational moulded parts only made by Modscene Ltd. It does not cover other parts such as steel or timber parts.
a) You must be the original purchaser (the original invoice or order email will be required).
b) If your product has a defect related to a production failure, not wear and tear.
c) You must have purchased the product directly from us or an authorized reseller. (Proof of purchase will be required to demonstrate the origin of purchase e.g. original invoice or order email).
d) Lifetime warranty only covers items used in a residential application. Commercial or industrial application is covered by a 20 year warranty.
The Lifetime warranty does not cover the following:
a) Fair wear and tear.
b) Improper care, alternation, misuse or accidental damage to the product.
c) Force majeure, such as floods and earthquakes.
d) Any repair work by unauthorized third parties on the products voids any warranties.
Government bodies such as councils are limited to a 10 year warranty period due to the product being state owned and the state not having a "lifetime" time span.
Modscene can not cover our planters if product failure is caused by incorrect plant choice. Some trees and plants will have root growth that isn't suitable for planters and will eventually destroy the planter due to root expansion. This is not covered by our warranty as it is out of our control as to what is planted.

We do not take any responsibility for third party products, i.e., we will not reimburse any damage to devices used together with our products.
Our responsibility shall be limited to the repair or the replacement of the product at our sole discretion. Should no identical product be available, then a suitable alternative as deemed by us will be provided. Should no alternative be available then we may award a refund - the amount to be the purchase amount.
This warranty excludes claims for incidental or consequential damages in connection with the warranty problem.
This warranty does not affect and is in addition to any statutory rights you may have under New Zealand law.
Customers are obliged to return the product back to us on request at their own cost for inspection, to validate if the product is eligible for a replacement under this policy.
The warranty does not cover vandalism.
The warranty covers planters sold in New Zealand only. Planters that are exported are not covered by this warranty.
Should we deem your product's defect to be covered by the warranty, we will dispatch a new product to you within 40 days.
Information You Give Us:
We receive and store any information you enter on our web site or give us in any other way. You can choose not to provide certain information, but then you might not be able to take advantage of many of the features. We use the information that you provide for such purposes as responding to your requests, to better understand your needs, customizing future shopping for you, improving our store, providing better service and communicating with you. While all care is taken to offer a secure system we cannot provide a 100% guaranteed secure system. Please note, the information you provide is provided at your own risk.
All data that you enter into UMS is your own and we claim no rights to it. Your data is stored at our highly secure data centres and backed up daily. We will never disclose any of your login information, we recognise this data such as names or contact details as your property, and will not sell or share any such data.
To help us make e-mails more useful and interesting, we often receive a confirmation when you open e-mail from Modscene if your computer supports such capabilities. If you do not want to receive e-mail or other mail from us, please adjust your account to reflect this by selecting “Unsubscribe” in the Newsletter menu or contact us by email requesting that you be unsubscribe.

Does Modscene share the information it receives with others?
Information about our customers is an important part of our business, and we are not in the business of selling it to others. We share customer information only with the subsidiaries Modscene controls and as described below.
We may employ other companies and individuals to perform functions on our behalf. Examples may include fulfilling orders, delivering packages, sending postal mail and e-mail, removing repetitive information from customer lists, analysing data, providing marketing assistance, processing Credit Card payments, and providing customer service. They have access to personal information needed to perform their functions, but may not use it for other purposes.
Protection of Modscene and others:
We release account and other personal information when we believe release is appropriate to comply with law; enforce or apply our Conditions of Use and other agreements; or protect the rights, property, or safety of Modscene, our users, or others. This includes exchanging information with other companies and organisations for fraud protection and credit risk reduction.
What Choices Do I Have?
As discussed above, you can always choose not to provide information, even though it might be needed to make a purchase or to take advantage of such features as Automatic Login. You can add or update certain information on pages such as those listed in the My Account pages. If you do not want to receive e-mail or other mail from us, please adjust your account to reflect this. You may request details of personal information which we hold about you under the Data Protection Act 1998. A small fee will be payable. If you would like a copy of the information held on you, please email firstname.lastname@example.org. Gift Card Policy
Modscene Gift Vouchers have the following conditions:
a. The card/voucher is worth the value stated on the card/voucher.
b. The card/voucher cannot be exchanged for money and can only be used when purchasing on the Modscene website.
c. The card/voucher has to be used within the time limit stated on the card/voucher.
d. The dollar value stated on the card/voucher is GST inclusive.
It is the clients responsibility to ensure that Modscene planters are planted safely and responsibly. Modscene will not be held responsible for any damage caused by a planter or its contents. It is the clients responsibility to ensure the planters are stable, have the correct size plant, and won't cause damage to any surroundings.
